The beautiful Magallanes National Reserve (La Reserva Magallanes) is 20,878 hectares of protected wilderness located only 7km from Punta Arenas.  The Reserve takes you into the forests and mountains above Punta Arenas, offering a moderate hike through lenga and coigue forests to panoramic views of the Strait of Magellan, Tierra del Fuego, Punta Arenas, and the forests, hills and valleys of the Forest Reserve.
